About WDI Billing
WDI Billing is invoicing and bookkeeping software for sole traders, freelancers, and small businesses, built separately for each of the twelve countries we operate in -- the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Poland -- rather than adapted from a single generic template.
Why country by country
Invoicing rules, VAT reporting, and e-invoicing mandates are different in every one of those markets, and they keep changing: Peppol e-invoicing in Belgium and Luxembourg, the mandatory KSeF system in Poland, Making Tax Digital in the UK, XRechnung and ZUGFeRD in Germany, EHF and SAF-T in Norway. A single piece of software adapted after the fact tends to treat all of that as an afterthought. We build the compliance in from the start for the country you actually operate in, instead of bolting on a "country pack" later.
Your data stays yours
The same principle holds in every market: your books belong to you, not to us and not to a platform you can't export from. No forced cloud lock-in, no proprietary export format standing between you and your own financial records. Where it matters for the market -- Switzerland is the clearest example -- your data is hosted in the country itself.
Built for accountants too
Every country edition supports giving your accountant, bookkeeper, or tax advisor direct access to exactly what they need, without handing over full control of your books or your account. It's the same working relationship you already have with them, just without the back-and-forth of exporting files by hand.
